Pago Pago is a well built and athletic
gelding who received a First Premium very
elastic uphill movement with a free
shoulder and excellent drive from behind.
He seemed destined to be a first class
dressage horse until the first time he was
put through a jump chute. There we found
he was not only able to collect and extend
to find a proper approach to the fences, but
was also able to clear a four foot oxer
without effort. He is currently schooling a 3
foot course and has automatic hunter
changes.
On the dressage side, Pago Pago is
continuing to train up the levels. He has
shown First level with scores in the mid
60's and 8's on his gaits. He is confirmed in
all the Second Level movements and is
nearly confirmed in his flying changes and
half-pass. He is well behaved at the shows
and easy to handle.
While we plan to concentrate on his
flatwork for the next year or two, he is
talented enough to undertake a career in
any Olympic discipline. His half brother El
Dorado is showed Level 6 Jumpers and is
preparing to move in to Grand Prix.
