Canterbury Court

Patonus is a very smart and willing
learner. His dark color and built in flash
are assets in the show ring. As a two
year old he went from a pasture horse to
saddle and bridle in one week. He is very
balanced and has natural lead changes
when running free. We believe that he
will mature between 16.3 and 17 hands.
While we usually wait until our horses
are a little older to start under saddle,
Patronus was started under saddle at
three years of age. He shows a great
deal of maturity and willingness to
please. He has now been in professional
training with Craig Stanley since the end
of 2008. National dressage judges and
other trainers have been impressed by
the quality of his gaits. The triple rated
Dressage in the Valley show was only
the second time that he had been ridden
away from his home barn. Patronus was
the Training Level Champion, Open
Champion and over all High Score
Champion with a score of 74.4%! Not bad
for only 6 months in training. With his
gaits, rideability and temperament
Patronus would be a great prospect for
an ambitious amateur or junior rider.
