Sandro's Ace was discovered at the Performance Plus Auction. He is a stunningly beautiful horse with an elevated lofty trot, uphill canter, true four-beat walk and a sweet personality. His grandam and great- grandam have both been awarded the ‘prestatie’ predicate with pure dressage progeny. The international Grand Prix horse Hiscox Devereaux (sire: Wagenaar) is a son of great-grandam Inca. With the American Robert Dover, Devereaux came individually fifth at the World Championships 1994. Sandro's Ace is being trained and shown by Jackie Eckhaus. His Fourth Level debut ride with her scored a 66% . He is doing changes to twos and looks to be ready for Prix St. Georges in the summer of 2011.
There are not enough words to describe the quality of Sandro Hit both as a riding horse and as a sire. He will certainly be remembered as one of the best sires in European Sporthorse breeding.
Sandro's Ace is also the full brother to the KWPN Reserve Champion stallion Valeron ( http://www.kwpn. nl/selectsale/2005/paarden/video/16.wmv ) who was sold for 150,000 euros ($200,000) as a three year old at the KWPN Select Sale. Valeron passed his performance test with straight 8.5's showing how consistent and well balanced this line is. Valeron was also long listed to compete for the Dutch Team for the 2007 World Championship for Young Dressage Horses.
The following video link shows Sandro's Ace showing Fourth Level for the first time. He scored 66.5%. Currently working all Prix St. Georg movements he will make a great partner for the ambitious rider.
